box seats

Sat, 04/07/2007

As I am trying to catch the train home from work last night I get the usual Friday night “What are you up to tonight?” call. After I rattle off some half baked ideas the caller asks, “do you want to go to the Phillies game? I just got some box seats from the Firm…” Woot… Yes!

So that was the evening. 7:05 Phillies v. Marlins game with all the hot dogs, chicken fingers and cheese steaks you could bear to stuff down your throat. Oh and beer, free beer. Your jealous.

Oddly enough the last baseball game I was ever in box seats for was the Mets v. Marlins… The Marlins lost both times… coincidence?

I can eat gummy bears for breakfast.

recovery

So… maybe getting back from the West Coast early Friday morning, then going out and staying up all night saturday and going to bed at 11am Sunday morning for two hours, and then flying out to Florida and getting to bed at 12:30 Monday morning was not a healthy thing to do….

I only say this because on my flight back Tuesday night I started to… not feel so great. That led to a foggy Wednesday, an even foggier Thursday and a doctors visit today.

I think we will be okay though. The swelling in my tonsils is going down and I can hear in my right ear again. I think tonight will be better spent catching up on some of that sleep :)

Whew.

What a week– In the past four days I have been in Seattle, WA, Colorado Springs, CO and Denver, CO. Out of the three I think I liked Seattle the most. I got to climb the space needle. More on that later.

The hardest part of the past week was the fact that I never got used to the time anywhere… and now… back on the east coast… I’m still not used to the time. This is going to take a while.

passport

Woot!

Got a large envelope from the United States Government today. The first thoughts running through my mind were, “Oh God… I must have screwed up on my taxes… I am getting audited. I don’t make enough money to get audited… OH!” After I reached inside and pulled a few documents out, I realized I had just received my very own U.S. Passport!

Yay. Now I can travel to all sorts of places including Canada.

That was quick, see just slip the government an extra thirty bucks and things go your way… Now all I have to hope is that my picture dosn’t make me look too much like a terrorist…

That little text message you sent me at 4:51am as a daily reminder really was a bit early for me.

Perhaps next time you could maybe send one out at a more reasonable time… around 8 maybe?

Thanks,

bowling

Wed, 04/07/2007

Ok. Who invented this ’sport’?

Went bowling after work last night. I’m pretty sure my collective score after two games was 123. Thats pretty sad when you think of that as 123 out of a potential 600.

Maybe I’m just a little bitter, since I apparently can’t bowl…
